September 21 Ernest Childers Medal of Honor

Ernst Childers, a Creek Indian from Oklahoma, single-handedly killed two snipers, destroyed two machine gun nests and captured a fire support observer while with the 45th Division in Italy 80 years ago. Childers received the Medal of Honor seven months later. 

September 21 John Towle Medal of Honor

John Towle jumped into the crossfire at Nijmegen Bridge during Operation: Market Garden, to fire his rocket launcher at German tanks, causing them to withdraw, and a fortified house, killing nine enemy. He was killed by a mortar round moments later, and he received the Medal of Honor posthumously. Tell his story and remember his courage!

September 18 Arthur Jackson Medal of Honor

PFC Arthur Jackson earned the Medal of Honor for a ferocious one man assault on Peleliu in which he destroyed twelve pill boxes and killed over 50 Japanese soldiers.

September 15 Carlton Rouh Medal of Honor
