HONORING JOSHUA CHAMBERLAIN - HERO OF LITTLE ROUND TOP

Joshua Chamberlain recevied the Medal of Honor for his heroic leadership at Gettysburg, where he and his men, the 20th Maine infantry regiment, beat back a determined Confederate attack on Little Round Top. When his men were out of ammunition, he ordered them to charge the enemy with fixed bayonets.
